Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) serves as the primary heavy-capable gateway for Aspen and Vail-bound private jet traffic. Located at an elevation of approximately 6,547 feet (1,996 meters), EGE features a runway length of approximately 2,743 meters.
The airport supports turboprops, light jets, midsize jets and select heavy aircraft, depending on aircraft type, payload and environmental conditions. While high elevation still affects performance margins, EGE offers greater operational flexibility compared to ASE for larger cabin aircraft.
